We collect donations once a year to cover our yearly server and bandwidth expenses. Details are provided below.
Tanzil Expenses
While all work done in the Tanzil project is voluntary, we have to pay for our server and bandwidth expenses. Currently, we pay around $2,500 USD per year per server. We also pay for our backup servers and the associated domain names. All these costs are covered by collected donations.
Usage Statistics
Tanzil has served more than 10 million visitors over the past year. The usage statistics for the past year (August 2010 to July 2011) is provided below.

With each dollar of donation, you can contribute in serving more than 2000 visitors, reading 18,000 pages of Quran, and listening to 140,000 verses. This is indeed a great investment.
